During the Sun Angles activity, which is ideal for grades 5-7, students will be plotting and analyzing charts of the sun angle for different cities at various times of the year, students will observe how the tilt of the Earth’s axis causes the difference in sunlight throughout the year, resulting in the seasons we experience.

By the end of the activity students should be able to:

• Understand that the Earth’s tilt causes the differences in sunlight throughout the year
• Explain what causes the seasons
